WWF has an exciting opportunity for Spatial Planning and GIS Manager position based in Yangon, is open to Myanmar nationals as well as Internationals.
Major responsibilities
The Spatial Planning and GIS Manager will ensure WWF Myanmar’s conservation programme is effectively supported with the appropriate spatial data and spatial analysis tools needed to achieve our ambitious conservation programme. The position will also lead the engagement with target stakeholders within the Dawna Tennasserim Landscape (DTL) in integrated spatial planning activities. This includes identifying key areas of intervention and related data gaps and facilitating landscape planning and vision discussions with key stakeholders. This role involves coordinating information sharing opportunities relevant to WWF’s programme; planning, management and implementation of stakeholder engagement activities and identifying monitoring indicators.

Requirements
· Master’s degree (or equivalent work experience) in GIS, remote sensing, spatial planning, natural resources, environmental management, development studies or other relevant technical fields
· Expert knowledge in landscape conservation and spatial planning
· At least five years’ practical experience in stakeholder engagement, integrated landscape planning preferably in Myanmar, South or Southeast Asia
· Experience of working in a multi-cultural environmental and with key regional, national and international institutions
· Advanced technical/ professional knowledge and skills in GIS, integrated spatial landscape/ land use planning, including use of tools such as InVEST and GLOBIL
· Strong managerial skills, including applying strategic direction, planning and motivation of team members
· Strategic thinking and ability to deliver constructive feedback
