Objective of the consultancy
The overall objective of this consultancy is to complete the FY2020-2025 strategy of WWF Myanmar, producing a high quality document integration conservation strategy and operational support.
The consultant will be consolidating inputs from the conservation team as well as working with each conservation supports team and facilitate strategic planning workshops of the conservation support teams of WWF Myanmar, helping the teams to develop the strategic actions and goals and ensuring them to be in line with country conservation strategy.
Detailed objectives are to:
§ Produce a final, high-quality document of WWF country strategy, according to the structure agreed for the Asia Pacific region.
§ Shared understanding of cross-team synergies and integration of the strategy.
§ Ensure that each support teams’ priorities are in collaboration with those of the other teams as well as in alignment with conservation strategy.
Scope of work/ Major responsibility
Lead the strategic planning process of conservation support teams and work with respective teams, enable each team to identify and produce conservation support goals and objectives and help them to set up the effective planning for next five strategic years. The main country strategy, which is conservation strategy, is in place, and the consultant is to help the conservation support team to attain the relevant goals, bridging them to the conservation strategy.
Outputs/ deliverable of performance
- A document that will constitute the main external reference of WWF Myanmar Country strategy for 2020-2025.
- Identified goals, objectives and action plans of each conservation support team relevant and aligned with conservation.
- A Report depicting the goals, objectives and action plans of each conservation support team and reconciling the all the next 5 years strategic input of the conservation support teams complementing the conservation strategy.

Requirements
§ Master-level education in any of the following: Business Administration, Development studies, Economics, Conservation studies, Sustainability studies or similar.
§ Excellent knowledge and comprehensive experience in process facilitation and strategic planning and review processes and high level facilitation in non-profit conducts of strategy development
§ At least 10 years of experience working in the context
§ High level negotiation, facilitation as well as interpersonal and influencing skills
§ Other key skills required: Strategic thinking, Leadership, Communication, Organization and Coordination
