Objective of the consultancy
WWF Myanmar is seeking individual who have experience and expertise in developing the appropriate monitoring and reporting tool for village patrolling and providing an on-site technical training to local community members based on the specific tasks.
Scope of work/ Major responsibility
a) Develop an appropriate monitoring and reporting tool for communities (village level)
b) Develop a training module on traditional law enforcement and submit to WWF for review and approval. The training module should contain topics, learning objectives, methodology, and training materials.
c) Conduct on-site training in one project village to at least 20 community members, WWF
staff and KFD staff. The training should include practical work by the training
participants.
d) Submit training report that includes photos, training evaluation, and other training
materials to WWF.
e) Provide periodic monitoring and advice to local communities after they implement
community patrolling.
Outputs/ deliverable of performanceand time schedule
a) Training module
b) Training report
The training will be conducted on November 12th– 16th, 2018. Final training report is expected to be submitted to WWF on or before 20th of December 2018.
Required profile:
Knowledge/Expertise/Experience
Educational background in wildlife conservation or natural resources management
Experience in providing patrolling training to communities (village level) especially in Southeast Asia Region.
Knowledge about the current natural resources management in the Southeast Asia region
Knowledge about wildlife law and other environmental laws and regulations in the context of Myanmar.
